Cem Hacioglu

President and CEO

Mr. Hacioglu is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Boreas Natural Gas. He is an energy executive and company builder with over 25 years of experience spanning LNG infrastructure, gas-to-power platforms, and institutional capital markets.

Most recently, Mr. Hacioglu served as President and CEO of CryoPort LNG, where he led the development and commercialization of innovative LNG-based fuel storage and distribution solutions for off-grid power generation and other high energy-intensive industrial applications. Under his leadership, the company designed and deployed patented Mobile Storage and Regasification Units (MSRUs), enabling rapid, modular LNG deployment for industrial, E&P, microgrid, and data center customers.

Previously, as President and CEO of Applied LNG, Mr. Hacioglu led a comprehensive financial and operational turnaround, restructuring a highly leveraged balance sheet and transforming the company into a profitable industry leader. He expanded production capacity through the construction of new liquefaction facilities in Arizona and Texas and repositioned the company for sustained growth.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Hacioglu was a senior investment professional with Sandell Asset Management, Millennium Partners, and Fletcher Asset Management. He also held roles within the Private Equity Group of Merrill Lynch and the World Bank Group, focusing on private capital deployment and emerging market development.

Mr. Hacioglu holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Economics, with a minor in Civil Engineering, from the United States Military Academy at West Point, and an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.
